Sample Fairfax City's Wide Variety of Cuisines During Restaurant Week Sept. 4-10

Diners can take advantage of special meal deals and sample food from 28 eateries during the summer edition of Fairfax City Restaurant Week.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA – Fairfax Economic Development Authority and the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce are teaming up once again to host the second annual summer edition of Fairfax City Restaurant Week.

From Monday, Sept. 4 through Sunday, Sept. 10, the city's restaurant community will be offering a week-long selection of meals and deals.

“Restaurant Week in Fairfax City is a great way to showcase the many cuisines represented by talented restauranteurs both locally grown and from around the world," said Fairfax City Mayor Catherine Read. "It’s an invitation to sample and dine in the company of friends, inside or outside, in every corner of our city. It’s one of my favorite weeks of the year.

During restaurant week, diners will be able to order off of prix fixe menus of $25 for lunch/brunch and $40 for dinner at participating restaurants.

Some of the city's specialty restaurants will also be offering "Two for $10" deals, which will allow diners the chance to try some of the city's many global kitchens.

"The ongoing success of Fairfax City Restaurant Week is due in part to the hard work of its co-sponsors, the Fairfax City Economic Development Authority, and the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce," said

Christopher Bruno, the Fairfax City's director of economic development, credited restaurant week's ongoing success to the hard work of the event's co-sponsors, the Fairfax Economic Development Authority and the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce.

"Together, they have consistently expanded the event, establishing Fairfax City as a premier dining destination and fostering a strong sense of community among restaurant operators," he said, in a release. "The collaboration between our community partners has resulted in a substantial return multiplier for the city, adding value to this biannual event and providing city-wide benefits."
