Fairfax City Woman Charged With Stalking

She repeatedly confronted another woman, say Fairfax City police.

A Fairfax City woman was arrested Monday night after being charged with stalking another woman, according to city police.

The police on May 30 obtained an arrest warrant for Yajaira Lopez-Hernandez, of 10746 Main St., after the stalking victim, a 29-year-old woman, told them that she had been repeatedly approached and confronted by Lopez-Hernandez, according to a police report.

Lopez-Hernandez is “known to the victim’s boyfriend,” the police report said.

At 8:07 p.m. Monday, a city police officer spotted Lopez-Hernandez driving a vehicle in the area of Harvey Drive and Meredith Drive and pulled her over.

She was taken into custody and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where she was served with the warrant for stalking and released on personal recognizance, the police report said. It did not list a date when Lopez-Hernandez will appear in court.
