Fairfax College Students Honored For Academic Achievements

FAIRFAX, VA — To shine a light on the academic achievements of college students from the Fairfax City area, Patch shares information provided by the students' families and Merit News.
The following students were named to the dean's list during the spring 2022 semester at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia:

To attain this distinction, students must earn at least a 3.5 average on a 4.0 grading scale.

The following local students graduated during Hollins University's 180th commencement ceremony on May 22:
- Caitlin Hirabayashi of Fairfax graduated Summa Cum laude with a BA in Film .

To be initiated into Omicron Delta Kappa, sophomore, junior and senior students must be in the top 35 percent of their class and demonstrate leadership experience in at least one of the society's five pillars, and embrace ODK's ideals.
