FAIRFAX, VA — A three-alarm fire at the Cedar Lake Condominiums in Fair Oaks on Monday displaced 48 people and caused an estimated $4,123,540 in damage, according to a Tuesday morning post on the Fairfax County Fire & Rescue's Twitter account.

Although one firefighter received minor injuries due to the fire, no civilians were reported injured, according to authorities. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Fairfax County fire personnel were called to the Cedar Lake Condominiums on Monday for the report of a fire at the condominium complex in Fair Oaks.

A video posted on Twitter at 11:10 a.m., on Tuesday showed crews using a ladder to extinguish the fire on the roof a building in the 4200 block of Mozart Brigade Lane.

The department issued a third alarm, which brought about 100 firefighters to the scene to fight the blaze.
