George Mason University Adjusts Monday Schedule Due To Inclement Weather
George Mason University administrative offices will open at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, with in-person classes before then canceled.

FAIRFAX, VA — George Mason University administrative offices will open at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 23, due to inclement weather conditions. All in-person classes and events scheduled to begin before 10:30 a.m. will not meet on campus Monday.
The u\niversity plans to reevaluate conditions in the morning. An updated Mason Alert will be issued no later than 7 a.m. to confirm the 10:30 a.m. opening or to modify operating hours further.
Students should await additional information from their instructors regarding alternative learning plans. They may also check their syllabus for specific instructions. Synchronous and asynchronous online courses are expected to continue as planned, unless instructors provide alternative guidance.

Employees are required to continue their work responsibilities remotely. This applies regardless of their scheduled telework days or agreements. Employees unable to work virtually or requiring flexibility due to personal circumstances should communicate directly with their supervisors to explore available options.

The university will provide necessary updates on its operating status via Mason Alert and the campus status webpage. All individuals traveling to and from campus are advised to allow additional travel time and plan their activities accordingly.
