Get Ready to 'Rock the Block' Friday in Fairfax City

The Hackens Boys will bring their country rock sound Friday night to Old Town Square! Watch a preview of their single "On the Run" below.

Get ready for “Rock the Block,” Friday in the City of Fairfax at Old Town Square, featuring live music, fountain fun, a beer garden, local food vendors and more.

The featured band is The Hackens Boys who will perform their brand of country rock. Voted Best Cover Band in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley six times, the band specializes in Top 40 country. The band covers a variety of songs that are fan favorites, and some that if you don’t know them, you’ll be singing by the end of the night. Their set ranges from classic superstars like Johnny Cash, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Garth Brooks to contemporary country artists like Jason Aldean, Eric Church and Luke Bryan.

The event takes place Friday from 6-9 p.m. at the square, 3999 University Drive, Fairfax VA 22030. Come any way you can - walk, run, ride your bike or drive. Bring chairs and or blankets to sit on.

Children are welcome to wear swimsuits, bring towels and enjoy the new spray pad. Residents are asked to leave pets at home, except for service animals.
