FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Daniel Messiha, 44, of Vienna was arrested by City of Fairfax Police last Thursday afternoon after he was spotted leaving the Home Depot with power tools for which he hadn't paid, according the daily crime report.

Police responded around 1:07 p.m. to the Home Deport located at 3201 Old Lee Highway. A security officer had notified police after seeing a man hide power tools inside a storage bin and then leave the store.

Messiha was found nearby and the powers tools were recovered, according to the report.

The officers took Messiha to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where they charged him with grand larceny and held him without bond.

Home Depot management asked police to bar Messiha from returning to the store in the future, according to the report.
