Grand Larceny Auto-Theft Charge Made By Police In Fairfax City Stolen Vehicle Case

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Fairfax County Police arrested a man wanted in connection with the Jan. 18 theft of a vehicle from a local car dealership, according to a City of Fairfax Police release.

Following an investigation of the incident, Fairfax City detectives determined that around 4:41 p.m., a man entered the Auto Bank II dealership, located at 10530 Fairfax Blvd. After taking a set of car keys and a dealer's license plate from an office desk, he then drove away in a vehicle without permission.

Through their investigation, detectives identified the man as 64-year-old Vladimir Bondarenko of no fixed address and obtained an arrest warrant for grand larceny auto-theft.

With the help of county police, Bondarenko was taken into custody on Tuesday and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond, according to the report.
