Fairfax Man Pleads Guilty To Engaging Minor Victims In Recording Sexual Explicit Photos

A 24-year-old Fairfax man pleaded guilty in federal court to attempting to persuade six children to record sexually explicit acts.

FAIRFAX, VA — Brian Scott McGalem, 24, of Fairfax pleaded guilty in federal court last week to attempting to produce and possessing child pornography, according to a U.S. Department of Justice release.

McGalem admitted to repeatedly engaging in sexually explicit discussions with six minors and said he tried to coax them into sending him sexually explicit photos of themselves, according to court documents. At the time, three of the victims were younger than 12.

While talking to the minor victims over social media, McGalem identified himself as “Random Hipster#2429” and “Sircoolbeans.” It was during these conversations that he tried to groom the victims and get them to record sexually explicit activities for him, according to court documents.
