Homewatch CareGivers of Fairfax Wins Power of Perseverance Award
Nation's Leading Home Care Franchise Company Presents Local Entrepreneur with Distinctive Honor

FAIRFAX, Va. – Don and Nina Kissinger, owners of Homewatch CareGivers of Fairfax, won the “Power of Perseverance” award at the company’s recent annual conference and awards ceremony in Englewood, Colorado at the Hilton Denver Inverness conference center.
Homewatch CareGivers is recognized as the nation’s quality leader in home care services that preserve dignity, independence and safety for clients under the supervision and care of highly trained caregivers. Its annual conference brings together home office leadership and franchise office owners from across the nation for four days of training, information sharing, and recognition of excellence.
“We look to identify franchise owners in our system who operate their business at a high level, but also work to give back to the system, and Don and Nina are examples of those people,” said Julie Smith, CEO of Homewatch CareGivers. “Don and Nina have been incredibly persistent with their business, while also working closely with the home office and other owners in the system. They are true assets to the whole Homewatch CareGivers family.”

Themed “The Value of Outcomes,” the convention celebrated several key accomplishments and inspired all attendees – franchise owners, local market team members, and corporate leadership – to continue to aim high, think big, and rise to the occasion day-in and day-out. The four days included extensive sales and marketing training, educational seminars, and opportunities to share best practices.
The Homewatch CareGivers headquarters team completed comprehensive assessments prior to deciding which office would win the prestigious “Power of Perseverance” award. Don and Nina earned the recognition through overcoming challenges in pursuit of a well-run, quality home care company. Despite initial obstacles, Don and Nina continue to push through and build in order to maintain a million dollar business.

“Being recognized is a true honor, especially given the hard work Nina and I have put into growing our business in the area,” said Don. “It’s been a pleasure working with everyone in the system, especially the other owners in my region. I know being a part of this type of collaboration has helped each of us reach new heights and expand our own businesses.”
The conference also featured a series of presentations and panel discussions about the highly anticipated release of Homewatch CareGivers Care+, the advanced and proprietary client and caregiver web-based management system. Don and Nina and fellow franchise owners have already begun adopting the platform, which creates a competitive advantage locally as a “high touch meets high tech” innovation. The efficiencies achieved were emphasized throughout the conference.
