City committee hosting speaker series at Sherwood Community Center.

Fairfax City’s Environmental Sustainability Committee (ESC) has organized a speaker series to promote community conversations about the city’s natural resources.
All events will take place at the beginning of ESC monthly meetings, taking place from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sherwood Community Center, unless otherwise noted.

Upcoming speakers include:
- wednesday, March 4 - “Urban Forests,” Jim McGlone, Virginia Department of Forestry
- May 6 – “Streams,” Danielle Wynne, Fairfax County Stormwater Division
- June 3 - “Invasive Plants,” Erin Stockschlaeder, a natural resource specialist with the Fairfax County Park Authority
