Lightning Strikes Twice: Another $100K Lottery Ticket Sold at Local Store
This time, Cash 5 winner takes top prize, says Virginia Lottery.

For the second time this summer, a Fairfax City grocery store has sold a $100,000 lottery ticket.

On Friday, the Virginia Lottery announced that a Reston woman bought a winning Cash 5 ticket at the Shoppers Food Warehouse at 9622 Main St. (Route 236), in the Fair City Mall. The store also sold a winning scratch-off ticket in July.
Jacqueline Westenoff won the top prize in the June 7 night drawing with the Cash 5 ticket; the winning numbers were 1-4-13-21-34. She used Easy Pick and let the computer select random numbers for her ticket, the lottery said.

Westenoff said she was shocked and excited when she found out she’d won. The chances of winning the $100,000 top prize are 1 in 278,256.
Last month, Francisco Barahona of Manassas won $100,000 in the lottery’s Winner Take All, a “Scratcher” game, with a ticket that he bought at the Shoppers Food Warehouse. The odds of winning the top prize in Winner Take All were 1 in 734,400.
