In Like A Lion: March Beginning With Wintry Blast

National Weather Service predicts still more ice, snow, wind gusts on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from 9 a.m. through 10 p.m. Tuesday for snow, sleet and freezing rain. The advisory covers the Baltimore and Washington metro areas and north central Maryland.

The weather service is forecasting up to 1 inch of snow and a tenth of an inch of ice from Tuesday morning through late Tuesday evening.

Roads will be covered with ice and snow, and traveling will be dangerous, the weather service said. Temperatures will be in the upper 20s, with winds from the southeast at 5 to 15 mph and gusts up to 25 mph.

Motorists are warned to be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility, and to use caution while driving.
