Malicious Wounding Charge Filed In Fairfax City Stabbing Incident

City of Fairfax Police arrested a man they say stabbed an acquaintance on Thursday afternoon following and argument.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police arrested 26-year-old Jose Daniel Serpas of no fixed address in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred Thursday afternoon off of Fairfax Boulevard.

City of Fairfax Police responded around 4 p.m. to the CVS at 10090 Fairfax Blvd. for the 911 report of a stabbing, according to a city spokesman.

Investigators determined that the victim had been stabbed multiple times by an acquaintance following an argument. The victim was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Identifying Serpas as a suspect in the case, officers from the Criminal Investigations Division located and took him into custody. He was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with one count of malicious wounding. Serpas is being held without bond.
