Man Faces Multiple Charges After Trying To Rob Fairfax Gas Station
After a man robbed a 7-Eleven on Fairfax Boulevard Saturday night, he tried to rob a nearby gas station on Sunday, according to police.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police arrested 26-year-old Harley Pratt of no fixed address for attempting to rob the Sunoco gas station at 9626 Fairfax Blvd. on Sunday afternoon, according to a police release.
Officers responded around 3:30 p.m., for the report of an attempted robbery at the gas station, according to police.
Police learned that Pratt had punched the clerk several times in the head and demanded that they open the cash register. Once Pratt found that the register couldn't be opened, he walked a short distance away, where police found and arrested him, according to the release.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Pratt was also involved in a robbery the night before at the 7-Eleven store across the street at 9617 Fairfax Blvd., according to police.
Around 10:01 p.m., Pratt entered the 7-Eleven and walked behind the counter. Placing his arm around the clerk's neck, he demanded that the clerk open the register, according to police. He then left the store on foot.

Police charged Pratt with one count of robbery, one count of wearing a mask to conceal his identity, one count of attempted robbery, and one count of malicious wounding, according to the release.
Pratt is currently being held in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bound.
