FAIRFAX, VA — Stringfellow Road in the Greenbriar area of Fairfax County was closed Tuesday morning, after a man was found suffering from life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Detectives from Fairfax County Police's Crash Reconstruction Unit were on the scene around 6:45 a.m., on Tuesday, investigating a the incident, according to a post on social media. The exit ramps from eastbound and westbound I-66 onto Stringfellow Road were also closed.

Police advised the public to avoid the area and to seek alternate routes.
