FAIRFAX, VA — Fairfax County Police arrested a man who they say was threatening a Starbucks employee with a knife on Jan. 7, according to the weekly crime report.

Police from the Fair Oaks Station responded around 2:06 p.m. for the report of a man threatening an employee at the Starbucks located inside the Safeway store at 12200 Fairfax Towne Center.

When the officers arrived, a 19-year-old man threatened them with a knife, according to the report. After using an electronic control weapon on the man, the officers were able to take him into custody.

Police charged the man with four counts of attempted malicious wounding of a law enforcement officer and one count of attempted malicious wounding. No one was injured, according to the report.
