Mice Hunters Arrested In Fairfax: Police

Two gun-wielding mice hunters were arrested early Sunday morning in the 11400 block of Eaton Place, according to Fairfax Police.

FAIRFAX, VA — Two gun-wielding mice hunters were arrested early Sunday morning in the 11400 block of Eaton Place, according to Fairfax Police. Matthew Bohrer, 37, of the 3900 block of Fairview Drive in Fairfax, and Charles Tyrone Miller, 39, of the 100 block Plum Tree Court in Sterling, were charged with use of pneumatic guns within the city limits.

Shortly after midnight, police responded to the area for reports of suspicious noises. They found two men who allegedly had been discharging air and BB pellet guns while hunting for mice. Also in Monday's Fairfax Police crime report:

9548 Main Street / Parking Area – On July 21 at 8:17 PM the vehicle owner reported that sometime after 10:00 AM unknown person(s) had broken a window on her parked vehicle and taken her purse which was on a seat. The purse contained cash, credit cards and identification.

3401 Pickett Road / Thaiss Park – On July 22 at 11:12 AM the vehicle owner reported that sometime after 9:00 AM unknown person(s) had broken a window on her parked vehicle and taken her purse which was on a seat. The purse contained cash, a cell phone, keys, credit cards and identification.

Trespassing Arrest

3195 Old Lee Highway / McDonald’s – On July 22 at 3:53 PM the manager reported that a male subject who had previously been trespassed from the business was currently in the restaurant. Mark Downey Saint Daniel, 41, of no fixed address, was taken into custody and transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with trespassing and his bond was set at $1000.

DUI Arrest

4000 Block of Poplar Street – On July 23 at 4:22 AM an officer investigating a crash involving a vehicle hitting a parked trailer and bushes determined that the driver was intoxicated. Matthew Darius Randall, 26, of 14408 Newton Patent Court, Centreville, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and his bond was set at $2500.

4200 Block of Allison Circle – On July 24 at 12:11 AM the vehicle owner reported that sometime after 10:30 PM on July 23 unknown person(s) had broken a window on his parked vehicle and rummaged through its contents, but nothing apparently was taken.
