Updated: Missing Fairfax-Area Girl Located

FAIRFAX, VA — Fairfax County Police reported Thursday afternoon that a 12-year-old girl who went missing Tuesday morning has been found and that she is safe, according to a post on the department's official Twitter account.

The girl had disappeared Tuesday, around 9:30 a.m. from the 9000 block of Loreleigh Way, which is located between Fairfax City and the Merrifield area.
