On December 31, 2020 at 10:06 AM City of Fairfax Police responded to 9610 Fairfax Boulevard, Farrish Jeep, for a stolen auto report.

Investigation revealed that on November 6, 2020 a subject completed an online application and was pre-approved to purchase a 2016 Mercedes S-Class. The individual then responded to the business, furnished fraudulent documents and signed a purchase agreement. It was later determined that the subject used a false identity to purchase the vehicle.

On January 27, 2021 Nickolas Mathis, 36, of 8077 Pennington Drive, Laurel, Maryland was arrested for grand larceny auto theft (18.2-95/46.390) and forgery (18.2-172). Mathis was held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
