Notice Regarding Center For Voter Information Mailing In Fairfax City — Return Envelopes

The Center for Voter Information is working to rectify the situation.

The Center for Voter Information — an independent, non-profit organization unaffiliated with the City of Fairfax Office of Elections — recently mailed absentee ballot applications to Virginia residents. The Office of Elections has addressed the issue on their webpage: fairfaxva.gov/vote .

The absentee ballot application form provided in this mailing is a valid form.

The return mail information, however, may incorrectly direct voters:

  • some city voters were directed to mail the application to the Fairfax County Office of Elections
  • some Fairfax County voters were directed to mail their applications to City of Fairfax Office of Elections

If you received a Virginia Vote by Mail Application Form from the Center for Voter Information and you would like to apply for a by-mail ballot, you may complete this application and mail it to the correct locality.

  • For city voters, the address is: City of Fairfax Office of Elections 10455 Armstrong Street, Suite 300 Fairfax, VA 22030
  • For Fairfax County voters, the address is: Fairfax County Office of Elections, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Suite 323 Fairfax, VA 22035

Rest assured that any applications that arrive in the wrong locality's office will be forwarded immediately to the correct office for processing.

If you have already applied for an absentee ballot, you do not need to complete a second application.Online registration is available at vote.elections.virginia.gov

The first day that ballots will be mailed is September 18, 2020.
