Pentagon Police Officer Drunk in Fairfax: Police

Fairfax Police say the man was banging on doors of homes early Saturday. He was charged with being drunk in public.

FAIRFAX, VA — An apparently drunk man arrested after banging on doors of homes early Saturday morning in the 4300 block of Amnesty Place was a Pentagon Police officer, according to Fairfax Police.

Austin Grey Knebel, 26, of 14900 Marlbank Place in Haymarket, was charged with being drunk in public.

Shortly after 1 a.m., police reponded to two reports of a man banging on people's doors, and after arriving, determined he was intoxicated.

Fairfax Police Lt. Matt Duckett said Monday Knebel is an officer with the Pentagon Force Protection Agency.

10400 Block of Fairfax Boulevard – On September 30 at 5:10 PM an officer investigating a report of an intoxicated male subject with a vehicle determined that the individual was intoxicated. Joseph Alvin Craun, 55, of 11500 Warren Lane, Fairfax, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and was issued a summons at the medical facility where he had been admitted for treatment of a medical condition.

Fairfax Boulevard – On September 30 at 8:53 PM the victim reported that about 2:00 PM on September 29 unknown person(s) had taken her debit card from her clutch while she had fallen asleep during a ride on the CUE bus.

3565 Chain Bridge Road / Residence Inn – On October 1 at 12:48 AM officers responded to a report of a female subject refusing to leave. After continuing to refuse repeated requests from officers to leave and starting to create a disturbance, the subject was taken into custody. Jennifer Jung-Min Lee, 37, of no fixed address, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where she was charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct and her bond was set at $500.

10350 Willard Way / Courthouse Plaza – On October 1 at 2:43 PM a male subject refused to comply with an officer’s order to leave the shopping center where the individual had previously been given notice not to trespass. The subject then tore up the trespass notice and threw it on the ground. Donnell Marquis Dixon, 27, of no fixed address, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with trespassing, littering and drunk in public.

3910 University Drive / 7-Eleven – On October 2 at 9:35 PM the manager reported that a male subject had taken merchandise from the store without paying. As the result of investigation by the Patrol Division, the suspect was identified and located in cooperation with Fairfax County Police. Ahmad Mohammad Najib Mirza, 33, of 9757 Alwaes Drive, Fairfax, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with petit larceny—third offense and his bond was set at $1000.
