FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Fairfax County Police notified the City of Fairfax Police Department on Tuesday they had recovered a truck had been stolen from a city residence, according to the daily crime report.

City police contacted the truck's owner, who confirmed their Ford pickup truck was not in the driveway of their home in the 10900 block of Park Road in Fairfax City. The owner had not yet reported that the vehicle had been stolen to police.

FCPD took 36-year-old Alton Thodos of Alexandria into custody and transported him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. After appearing before a magistrate, Thodos was charged with two counts of petit larceny in Fairfax County and one count of grand larceny-auto theft in the City of Fairfax, according to the police report. Thodos was then held without bond.
