Traffic lanes will be closed as needed, and on-site workers will direct drivers through the work area. Expect delays and consider alternate routes during this time.

The work will be performed during daytime hours due to the work zone’s proximity to residential communities. The work was approved for immediate attention due to the environmental impact if the damaged pipe was not promptly replaced.

During routine maintenance, the city discovered the deteriorated section of the 40-year-old concrete pipe. The city has contracted with Utilities Unlimited to remove and replace the damaged area with plastic pipe because the pipe was too damaged to be relined.
