Plan To Redevelop Pan Am Shopping Center To Be Discussed At Meeting
Public meeting planned to discuss proposed comprehensive plan amendment to redevelop the Pan Am Shopping Center

FAIRFAX, VA — Fairfax County is hosting a community meeting on March 30 to discuss the long-range plan to redevelop the Pan Am Shopping Center.
Federal Realty, the owner of the shopping center near the Vienna-Fairfax-GMU Metro Station, filed a rezoning application and comprehensive plan amendment with the county in December 2021.
The proposed amendment change seeks to retain some of the exiting retail uses and convert part of the shopping center to residential uses. The plan includes the addition of new park spaces for use by residents of the new development and the surrounding neighborhoods.
