Police Appeal to Dog's Owner To Come Forward
Pooch was found on June 7 in grocery store parking lot, say Animal Control officials.

A citizen found the dog in the Safeway parking lot of Fairfax Towne Center at around 11:45 a.m. on Sunday, June 7. The shopping center is on West Ox Road, just south of Route 50 near Fair Oaks Mall.
No owner has claimed the dog. Since several weeks have passed, police officers are reaching out to the public to see if anyone recognizes the dog and can help reconnect her with her owner.

Although the young pit bull is thin, officers believe she was cared for and had an owner at one point. Please call Animal Control at 703-691-2131 with any information.
