Police: DUIs Cause Two Crashes in Two Days on Main Street
Drivers in both accidents taken to jail, say Fairfax City police.

Fairfax City police arrested motorists in two separate accidents during the weekend on Main Street (Route 236) and charged each with drunk driving.
The police responded at 2:23 a.m. Saturday to the first accident, in which a vehicle crashed into a utility pole near the intersection of Main Street and Oak Street.

An officer investigating the accident took the driver, Hee Lak Kim, 57, of 10546 James Wren Way, Fairfax, into custody and transported him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where Kim was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Shortly after noon on Sunday, an officer investigating a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Main Street and Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) took one of the drivers into custody for being intoxicated.
Donald Paul Ryberg, 47, of 3509 Spring Lake Terrace, Fairfax, was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with driving while intoxicated with a minor (a 17-year-old passenger) and failure to maintain proper control. His bond was set at $7,500.
