Police: Man Arrested After Becoming Unruly at McDonald's
Individual assaulted elderly customer and head-butted employee, say Fairfax City police.

Fairfax City police arrested a man Monday evening after he became unruly in a local McDonald’s and assaulted an elderly man and an employee.
Jeremy Ray Peters, 32, of no fixed address, has been charged with assault on a police officer, two counts of assault and with being drunk in public, according to a police report. Peters is being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

None of the victims required medical treatment, police said.

At 6:02 p.m. Tuesday, the manager of the McDonald’s restaurant at 3924 Old Lee Highway reported to police that a male subject had assaulted a customer and an employee and then fled, according to the police report.
The customer, a 74-year-old Fairfax-area man, told police that Peters had approached him in an agitated state, attempted to grab his umbrella and then pushed him. The suspect then butted a 19-year-old male employee in the face when he attempted to intervene on the customer’s behalf.
Officers located Peters in the area, and he fought being taken into custody, the report said. He was then transported to the counthy jail.
