Police Recover Vehicle Reported Stolen in North Carolina

Two arrested Wednesday night at motel on Fairfax Boulevard.

A check by police of license plates at a local motel Wednesday night turned up a vehicle reported stolen in North Carolina, and as a result, two people are behind bars.

Clifford Victor Stanley Jr., 34, of 260 SW Adams Ave., Portland, Ore., and Yvette Consuelo Molina, 28, of 1619 Bluebell St., Amarillo, Texas, were charged with felony possession of stolen property, according to a Fairfax City police report. The two are being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

At 10:24 p.m. Wednesday, a Fairfax City police officer was checking license plates on vehicles at the Anchorage Motel, 9865 Fairfax Blvd., and learned that one vehicle had been reported stolen by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police in North Carolina, the police report said.

As officers were investigating the scene, Stanley and Molina were seen leaving the motel on foot. The police located them nearby and detained them, the police report said.
