Here is the most current school rankings based on GreatSchools.org. While each person has their own criteria for determining what makes a school great, we decided to use a third-party objective criteria for this analysis. For this analysis we identified all the Fairfax County Public School Pyramids, which includes an elementary, middle and high school, along with the Great School rating and added up the score. Great School provides a score of 1-10 for each school, so each Pyramid score is out of a possible 30 points. For the FCPS Pyramids, there are 181 different pyramids and the highest score was 28, the lowest score was 7 and the median score was 18. The below tables list the cumulative Great School score for the Fairfax City pyramids, along with the percentile ranking for that pyramid compared against all 181 Fairfax County pyramids.
