D.C. Summer Celebrations To Affect Flights At NoVA Airport
Reagan National passengers should check flight times as D.C. celebrations temporarily affect airport operations.

ARLINGTON, VA — Passengers flying through Reagan National Airport this summer are being advised to monitor their flights closely as airspace closures tied to America 250 celebrations in Washington, D.C., are expected to affect schedules.
Downtown D.C. celebrations will temporarily close runways at Reagan National Airport during events that include flyovers, fireworks, parachute jumps and other aerial displays.
Some airline flight schedules have already been adjusted to avoid pre-planned airspace closure times and reduce impacts on travelers, airport officials said. In other cases, flights at Reagan National may be delayed by temporary holds coordinated through air traffic control. Weather could also affect flights during the celebration period.
