Sobriety Checkpoints This St. Patrick's Day Weekend
Police will be on the lookout this weekend for offenders, with two checkpoints announced so far in Fairfax County.

It’s easy to find a party for the St. Patrick’s Day weekend, but Fairfax County Police don’t want you to find trouble.
Officers will be on the lookout for drivers under the influence across the county. They’ve announced two specific sobriety checkpoints:
- Friday night, March 13, in the Fair Oaks Police District.
- Saturday night, March 14, in the Sully Police District.
Almost half the men killed in crashes on St. Patrick’s Day died in drunk-driving crashes, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
