Summit for Disaster Resiliency, a Partnership in Preparedness, March 25, 2014

When disaster strikes, are you, or your organization, involved with Emergency Management?  Are you, or your organization, responsible for providing support and emergency services in the community?  If so, you are invited to attend a free and informational one-day conference on disaster preparation.

Summit planners suggest that attendees come from the ranks of faith-based organizations, civic associations, residential management companies and disaster volunteer groups, as well as representatives from the private, public and nonprofit sectors involved in day-to-day support.

The Summit for Disaster Resiliency is a county collaboration involving Volunteer Fairfax, the Neighborhood and Community Services, and Faith Communities in Action.  Summit topics to include the role your organization plays in community disaster resiliency, how groups  interact with each other in the event of a disaster, and the writing of an organizational Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) to help you continue vital service.
