FAIRFAX CITY, VA -- Super Tuesday results offered big wins for Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, each winning seven states, including Virginia.
Did voters in Fairfax City follow the state results? In Fairfax City, Bernie Sanders did better (by 5 percent) than in the state overall, but still came in second to Clinton.
Marco Rubio won in Fairfax City, but came in second statewide to Donald Trump. John Kasich also fared better in Fairfax City than he did in the state overall, coming in third in Fairfax City but fourth in Virginia.

- Hillary Clinton: 1,840 votes or 59.39 percent
- Bernie Sanders: 1,243 votes or 40.12 percent
- Martin O'Malley: 15 votes or .48 percent
Republican Primary
- Marco Rubio: 1,124 votes or 36.95 percent
- Donald Trump: 760 votes or 24.98 percent
- John Kasich: 520 votes or 17.09 percent
- Ted Cruz: 484 or 15.91 percent
- Ben Carson: 98 or 3.22 percent
