The city now will issue decals only for vehicles registered at addresses in Residential Parking Permit Districts, where on-street parking is difficult due to high volumes of non-resident vehicles. The decals will help identify vehicles garaged in those areas.
The change was implemented when City Council enacted an ordinance on July 28 that eliminated the requirement for all vehicles to display decals when garaged in the city.

In the past, decals served as a visual check and enforcement tool. However, the use of other electronic discovery measures have replaced the need for decals for that purpose.
Not sure whether this affects your decal status?
If you do not live in a city RPPD, you will not receive a city vehicle decal.
