Virginia Governor's Race 2017: Absentee Voting Open
Absentee voting for the June 13 Virginia gubernatorial primary election is open, and Fairfax City residents can vote at the Sisson House.

FAIRFAX, VA — Absentee voting for the June 13 Virginia gubernatorial primary election is now open for city residents 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Sisson House, 10455 Armstrong Street. You can vote in the Democratic primary or the Republican primary, but not both. The primaries will determine candidates for the Nov. 7 general election for both governor and lieutenant governor.
While not as publicized as the presidential campaign, the governor’s race will have just as much, if not more, influence over the everyday lives of Virginians. That’s why it’s important to stay informed about who is running and what they stand for — after all, Virginia went for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton last year for president over the man who now occupies the White House: Donald Trump.
