On October 17, City of Fairfax Councilmembers Joe Harmon and Tom Ross, Scouts from Troop 1888, the owners of the Northfax West property, and several volunteers waded into Accotink Creek to collect and transfer aquatic wildlife ahead of a redevelopment project.
The group used nets and buckets to catch approximately 100 fish, several salamanders, and a crawfish. The catch was then transferred to Daniels Run. The city’s Parks and Recreation Department provided equipment and support for the event.
