Weapons Charges Filed For Waving Handgun Around In Fairfax Circle Area
City of Fairfax Police arrested a man on Aug. 11 for walking around in the Fairfax Circle area and waving a firearm.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police arrested a man on for brandishing a firearm near Fairfax Circle earlier this month.
Officers were responded around 8:20 p.m., on Aug. 11, to the Blenheim Boulevard and Fairfax Boulevard area for the report of a man walking around and waving a firearm in the air, according to police.
After locating the man and taking him into custody, the officers discovered that in addition to the firearm he was waving around, the man also had a handgun in his pocket.

Police transported 38-year-old Dion Fitzgerald of no fixed address to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. Once there, they charged him with brandishing a firearm and carrying a concealed firearm without a permit. Fitzgerald remained in custody without bond.
