Former Global Marketing Director for one of the hottest global brand communications agencies trades her position for following her passion

Sally-Anne Andrew, who spent the last eight years as the Global Marketing Director at INVNT, a brand communications agency in New York, is pursuing her new passion as the proprietor of LeFay Cottage, a destination available for weekend getaways, retreats, and celebrations, located in Washington, Virginia.
Andrew purchased the cottage 17 years ago and opened it to the public this year. At a ribbon-cutting event last Thursday, Andrew said “I want people to know they can come out to a beautiful cottage in the country and experience all of the wonderful offerings that this special jewel, Rappahannock county has to offer.”
Located on five acres on the site of a former Christmas Tree Farm, LeFay Cottage is a new addition to Washington, in Rappahannock County, Virginia. Nestled at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, in the heart of Virginia’s “Horse and Wine Country,” the cottage provides easy access to nature and adventure.

Beyond the cottage grounds, local boutiques, antique shops, spas, golf, farmers markets, wineries, breweries, distillers and fine restaurants such as the world renowned Inn at Little Washington are all located nearby. Many visitors are drawn to the area for its proximity to Shenandoah National Park for its scenic hiking, biking and skiing trails, not to mention great canoeing and fishing opportunities.
The design of the cottage has a shabby-chic flair, with French and English antiques and chandeliers throughout the rooms, and one-of-a-kind paintings. The interior includes a full kitchen, dining room, living room, three bedrooms and two full baths and an added sunroom with gorgeous mountain views. Little luxuries like Egyptian cotton sheets, towels, and designer Molton Brown bath products round out the cozy feel.

LeFay Cottage, has some whimsy to it, hence its name. It’s hard to miss the Faeries on the iron gate as you enter the property and upstairs in one of the bedrooms the Faerie room is decorated with an array of small Faeries nestled amongst vines and twinkly lights.

The cottage is available for rent on the LeFay Cottage website as well as other booking sites, such as AirBnB.com, VRBO, Booking.com and others, and is a suitable location for any kind of weekend retreat: birthdays, girls weekends, bridal showers, baby showers, or company team-building.
Andrew also offers customized concierge service to help guests plan their stay to better enjoy what Rappahannock has to offer.
The Mayor of Washington, John Sullivan, touted the cottage’s location at the ribbon-cutting event.
“Tourism is an important part of the economy here,” Sullivan said. “It provides a lot of jobs for people, particularly young people. Visitors come for food, wine, Shenandoah National Park, and the uniqueness of Rappahannock, a beautiful place.”
