What's Open, Closed In Fairfax City For Christmas Weekend 2020

Wondering what's open and closed and when your trash will be picked up with Christmas falling on a Friday this year?

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Local, county and state government offices, along with numerous services, will not be available Christmas. City government offices will be closed Dec. 24-25.

Fairfax County Circuit Court, General District Court and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court will be closed Christmas Day. Cue buses will not run Christmas Day. The City of Fairfax Regional Library will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Christmas Eve and closed Christmas Day.

City trash will not be picked up Christmas Day; Friday routes instead will be collected Thursday. The Property Yard Recycling Center, I-66 Transfer Station and I-95 Landfill will be closed Christmas Day.
