Woman Assaulted At Gateway Park In Fairfax
A woman repeatedly was punched by a man holding a machete early Wednesday morning at Gateway Park, 3333 Old Pickett Road: Fairfax Police.

FAIRFAX, VA — A woman repeatedly was punched by a man holding a machete early Wednesday morning at Gateway Park, 3333 Old Pickett Road, according to Fairfax Police. Joshua Carroll Hebb, 32, of the 3100 block of Campbell Drive in Fairfax, was charged with brandishing a machete and assault and battery. He's being held without bond.
Shortly before 3:30 a.m., the 43-year-old woman told police she had been sleeping in a gazebo at the park. She awoke from her slumber to find a man repeatedly punching her. And for whatever reason, he also was holding a machete. Hebb was arrested at the scene.
