Women Throw Punches At Fairfax Goodwill Store: Police

A woman was arrested Sunday for her role in a fight last week at the Goodwill Store on Main Street, according to Fairfax Police.

FAIRFAX, VA — This is they type of thing that you might not expect to happen inside a Goodwill Store, but happen it did in the 9900 block of Main Street, according to Fairfax Police. Agnes B. Simb, 49, of the 12000 block of Greywing Square in Reston, was arrested and charged Sunday with assault and battery.

Shortly after 2:30 p.m. last Tuesday, the victim, a 24-year-old woman from the Burke area, told police she and Simb became involved in an argument inside the store. She was then assaulted. Following an investigation, police obtained a warrant for Simb's arrest. It was served Sunday and she was released on signature.

9400 Block of Fairfax Boulevard / Foxcroft Colony Condominiums – On May 26 at 4:36 PM a witness reported that he had observed two unknown male subjects steal a leaf blower from a landscaping company’s trailer. It subsequently was determined that several other pieces of equipment also had been stolen. The Field Operations Division is investigating the case.

3950 University Drive / Parking Garage – On May 26 at 6:53 PM an officer investigating a two-vehicle crash in the garage learned that the driver of one of the vehicles involved had left the scene. The vehicle subsequently was located blocking Locust Street at Main Street and it was determined that the driver was intoxicated. Kristine Alice Jackson, 47, of 455 South Maple Avenue, Falls Church, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where she was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, misdemeanor hit and run and blocking the highway.

4100 Block of Virginia Street – On May 27 officers investigating the theft of jewelry and money from a residence determined that a male subject had pawned several of the stolen jewelry items at a pawn shop in Fairfax County and received money for them As the result of investigation by the Field Operations Division Kevin Matthew Gray, 31, of 4148 Virginia Street, was charged with obtaining money by false pretenses and held at the Adult Detention Center on $3000 bond.

3200 Block of Beech Tree Court – On May 28 at 3:57 PM an officer investigating a report of a duffel bag found on Ridge Avenue determined that unknown person(s) had stolen it from an unlocked parked vehicle. No items were determined to be missing from the duffel bag, which was returned to the vehicle owner.
