Justice High Teacher Accused Of Sexual Contact With Student
Police allege an inappropriate sexual relationship happened between the teacher and a student.

A teacher at Justice High School is facing charges for an alleged inappropriate sexual relationship with a student. Philip Spivey, 57, of Falls Church, was charged Wednesday with four felony counts of indecent liberties by a custodian.
Police did not say when the investigation into the accusation of unlawful sexual contact with a student began. The Fairfax County Public Schools website lists Spivey as an ESOL teacher. Police say Spivey is also a private music teacher.
He is being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

A letter from Justice High School principal Maria Eck addresses the allegations:
Justice staff were notified of allegations of improper behavior earlier this month and police were notified. An investigation began immediately. It is important to know that the accused has not been in school since January 8 and was on leave when the allegations were made against him.
There is no greater responsibility than the safety and well-being of our students. We responded quickly and have worked cooperatively with police throughout their investigation.
Anyone who believes Spivey may have had inappropriate contact with them or has any information can call the Major Crimes Bureau detectives at 703-246-7800, option 3, or submit a tip through Crime Solvers.
