Volunteers Needed for October Activities in Falls Church
Can you lend a helping hand?

October is a busy month in The Little City. Volunteers are needed to help with a number of events and projects:
Fall Community Clean-Up — Saturday, Oct. 18, 10 a.m. to Noon
Clean up the City of Falls Church and keep litter out of our waterways. Citizens or groups can request any area of town to clean up or be assigned an area of town the day of.Meet at the Community Center (223 Little Falls St.). Habitat Restoration — Saturday, Oct. 25, 10 a.m. to Noon
Help remove damaging invasive plants in Crossman Park (in the 500 block of N. Van Buren St.), and then plant natives that benefit our local birds and butterflies. For more information, contact Melissa Teates, 703-538-6961 ormelanite@verizon.net.
Halloween Carnival — Saturday, Oct. 25, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Adult and teen volunteers (at least 13 years old) are needed to staff games at the annual Halloween Carnival from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Volunteers will distribute candy prizes! For more info or to sign up, contact Amy Maltese at 703-248-5199(TTY 711) or amaltese@fallschurchva.gov.
