2 More Charged In Murder Of Mount Vernon Teen

Police have made numerous arrests since the teen's body was found in 2017.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA—Prince William County Police have arrested and charged two more people in the 2017 murder of a Mount Vernon teen.

The body of Miguel Angel Ruiz Carrillo, 18, was found in Nokesville in August 2017. Fairfax County Police had reported him missing earlier that month. Prince William and Fairfax County Police have been handling the investigation and believe the killing may be gang related.

Jose Turcios-Flores, 25, and Carlos Escobar Salinas, 27, were located in Texas last month and have been extradited to Prince William County jail. Both are charged with murder and are being held without bond. They will have a court hearing on May 30.

Police previously arrested Hector Armando Gamez-Amaya, Tomas Antonio Pino-Mejia, Ismael Antonio Hernandez Navarro and an 18-year-old who was a juvenile at the time of the killing.

The victim was reported as missing and endangered Aug. 8, 2017. Ruiz Carrillo was last seen around the 4200 block of Buckman Road in Mount Vernon Aug. 3. Family reported him as missing when he didn't return home, but investigations found he was missing under suspicious circumstances. Investigations led police to search Nokesville, where his body was found on Aug. 22, 2017.
