Bystander Helps Police Nab Robbery Suspect In Groveton
Police say the bystander helped officers put the man in handcuffs.

GROVETON, VA—A bystander helped officer arrest a robbery suspect early Tuesday morning in Groveton, which Fairfax County Police called a "case of community policing."
Around 2:06 a.m., an officer found a man stumbling on the sidewalk in the 2800 block of Beacon Hill Road. The man matched the description of a wanted robbery suspect.
Officers tried to stop him, but he pushed them and tried to escape. Police say the bystander helped officers get the man in handcuffs.

Jason Bailey, 23, of Alexandria was charged with drunk in public, obstruction of justice, and assault on a law enforcement officer. Bailey was also found to be wanted for malicious wounding and robbery.
