Daytime Road Closure Planned In Fort Hunt: VDOT

FORT HUNT, VA — The Virginia Department is planning a road closure in Fort Hunt on several days for stormwater pipe replacement.

Shenandoah Road between Fort Hunt Road and Westmoreland Road will be closed to through traffic from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day from Monday, March 22 through Friday, March 26. Drivers will not be able to turn from Fort Hunt Road onto Shenandoah Road. Fort Hunt Road will not be accessible directly from this portion of Shenandoah Road.

Traffic will be detoured via two routes. One route is Fort Hunt Road to Alexandria Avenue back to Shenandoah Road. The other is Fort Hunt Road to Wellington Road, Washington Avenue and Westmoreland Road back to Shenandoah Road.

Residents will be able to access their properties along Shenandoah Road. Work is weather permitting.
