Developer Prepares To Lease Nearly 400 Affordable Units In Virginia
An affordable housing developer is preparing to start leasing at four upcoming apartment communities in Virginia.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — Affordable housing developer Wesley Housing is preparing to start leasing nearly 400 new affordable units by the fall in Northern Virginia and Winchester.
An estimated 1,200 additional residents will be served by Wesley Housing as four new affordable communities open. These include the 81-unit The Waypoint at Fairlington in Alexandria, 63-unit Senseny Place senior living community in Winchester, 126-unit The Arden near the Huntington Metro in Fairfax County, and the 97-unit The Cadence in Arlington.
"We are thrilled to finally be meeting with prospective residents in person, some of whom have been following the construction of these properties since they broke ground," said Lisa Davis, property management vice president for Wesley Housing. "We can’t wait to
serve the community with brand new quality, affordable apartments, and look forward to building up the lives of those will call these communities home in the coming months."

Wesley Housing has opened leasing offices at the upcoming property, and property management team is meeting with prospective residents.
The Waypoint at Fairlington will be located at 2451 Menokin Drive, Alexandria on the same property as Fairlington Presbyterian Church. It will be open to households making 60 percent or less of the median family income with studio units, one bedrooms, two bedrooms and three bedrooms available. Leasing will be located at 2451 Menokin Drive through July 29 and 5515 Cherokee Ave, Suite 302 starting July 30. It is expected to open in summer 2022.

Senseny Place will be a senior living community for residents 55 and older in Winchester opening in summer 2022. Located at 1527 Senseny Road, it will have one-bedroom and two-bedroom units with community amenities such as a community room, wellness suite and on-site laundry. Eligibility is limited to households at or below 80 percent of the median family income. The temporary leasing office is located at 161 Grocery Avenue in Winchester.
The Arden is slated to open this fall within walking distance of the Huntington Metro station. One, two and three-bedroom units will be offered with amenities like a fitness center, garage parking and laundry facilities. It will be open to households making 80 percent or less of the median family income and will also host Wesley Housing's new office headquarters. The Arden is located at 2317 Huntington Avenue, Alexandria, but leasing is being done at 5515 Cherokee Ave, Suite 302.
The Cadence in Arlington's Buckingham neighborhood will open this fall, offering studios, one bedrooms, two bedrooms and three bedrooms to households making 70 percent or less of the median family income. Among the amenities are a community room with a teaching kitchen, fitness center and on-site laundry. Located at 3333 Arlington Boulevard, leasing is happening at 311 N Glebe Road.
