Driver Carjacked At Bank In Groveton: Police
Police are searching for the suspect, who was armed with a knife.

GROVETON, VA—A woman at an ATM machine in Groveton left without money or her car thanks to a carjacking Sunday, Oct. 21.
Around 2:45 a.m., the 29-year-old victim was at Wells Fargo Bank at 6300 Richmond Highway when the suspect approached. The man, armed with a knife, stole her money and shoved her to the ground. He jumped in the car, which was unlocked and turned on, and drove away.
He was last seen heading south on Richmond Highway. The victim was not injured from the assault.

The stolen SUV is a red 2003 Toyota Rav4 with Virginia license plates UYS-6082 with damage to the rear bumper and faded paint on the front of the vehicle. Police believe the license plates may have been removed or replaced with other tags.

The suspect was described as 6 foot 2 and wearing a black ski mask, grey hoodie and grey construction gloves.
