Man Charged With Murder Related To Groveton Brawl
The victim died days after being found unresponsive in Groveton, according to Fairfax County Police.
GROVETON, VA—Fairfax County Police charged a man with murder for a fight that turned fatal in Groveton.
Jerry Alan Harbison, 33, of Alexandria faces a second degree murder charge in the death of Matthew Watson, 36. Police obtained a warrant after consulting with the Commonwealth's Attorney and medical examiner.
Harbison turned himself in Thursday and is being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Watson was found unresponsive after the altercation on Feb. 21. Officers found the victim in his apartment in the 6600 block of Tower Drive. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and was on life support before he died on Feb. 27.
Police did not release details of the altercation but believe Watson was acquainted with Harbison.
